Multiple top clubs are on the lookout for a goalkeeper, too. Liverpool is set in this regard, but Caoimhín Kelleher could become a player of interest to various clubs, a process Spurs might be about to kickstart.
Spurs to trigger Liverpool reaction
Get ready for a goalkeeper merry-go-round this summer. In the traditional ‘top six’ of the Premier League alone, Spurs and Chelsea are definitely on the lookout for a new stopper, while Manchester United has doubts over David De Gea.
Tottenham was mentioned in connection with Liverpool’s number two Kelleher at one stage (Irish Independent), but it seems the Spurs hierarchy have settled on David Raya of Brentford. According to Fabrizio Romano, personal terms are ‘on the verge’ of being agreed, although a fee still needs to be settled between the two clubs.
Assuming that deal goes through, Brentford will join the list of clubs on the hunt for a goalkeeper. Also linked with Kelleher (Sky Sports), the move from Spurs could see Liverpool feel the impact.
