Lewis Hamilton hit back at a journalist over a question about Ferrari
Hamilton, 39, will leave AMG Mercedes after 11 years with the team, during which time he won six of the team’s seven world championships
Despite his past successes, the last two seasons with his team have not been a success for the legendary driver
Hamilton is set to move to Ferrari for the 2025 season after triggering a release clause in his contract
Hamilton will eventually replace current Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz J next season, but the Spaniard has won the Melbourne Grand Prix, finished third in the Bahrain Grand Prix and most recently in Japan, and is looking ahead to the 2024 season
We got off to a good start
While Sainz secured a podium spot, things were quite different for Hamilton at Suzuka
The Briton was ninth throughout the race, well behind the two Ferrari drivers in fourth and third, and his Mercedes teammate George Russell in seventh
In the post-race interview, Hamilton was asked if he was looking forward to moving to Ferrari next season as they are currently “faster” than Mercedes
The seven-time world champion replied: “Is there anything better
” Hamilton was then asked if his team could have made any improvements to change the outcome of the race, referring to his collision with Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari car early in the competition
