TOTTENHAM STAR HITS OUT AT “RIDICULOUS” ANGE POSTECOGLOU BEHAVIOR OF NOT GIVING HIM ENOUGH PLAY TIME

Giovani Lo Celso wants to leave Tottenham for a new challenge after growing frustrated with the lack of game time in 2024.

According to football insider , Giovani Lo Celso is sure to quit Tottenham in the summer following his unhappiness at the club. The £55 million playmaker may not have a future and will not form a part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans, with the summer window being the last chance for the Spurs to recoup something.

Giovani Lo Celso to quit Tottenham?

Tottenham have made some curious signings over the last few yeas, as the one involving Giovani Lo Celso ranks rigth up alongside the record outlay on Tanguy Ndombele. The north Londoners spent big on the £55 million playmaker when he was shining for Real Betis but never took off in the Premier League.

The club had hoped to find a solution for at least two years, which resulted in them sanctioning loan moves for the £55 million playmaker. He could have left again in January, but Tottenham rejected Barcelona loan approach for Lo Celso, although it may not be long before he does move.

A recent report stated that Tottenham could part way with the Argentine and Bryan Gil, among other stars. The player reportedly wants to leave the club after his unhappiness due to the lack of game time since the turn of the year. Ange Postecoglou does not see the £55 million playmaker as a part of his plans for next season.

Lo Celso did appear to revive his career at Spurs earlier in the season, as his goal against Man City and the top draw performance against Bournemouth were the standout games. Beyond that, he has not made an impact and continues to struggle on the bench as Postecoglou prefers other stars in place of the playmaker.

Tottenham already eyeing alternatives

Tottenham have no plans with Lo Celso and a host of other players. The summer window represents the last chance saloon for Spurs to recoup something of their £55 million investment, although they might not get what they would want for the Argentine.

On the other hand, they have already identified a clear-cut replacement with a keen interest in Morgan . Spurs will have to pay a hefty fee for the Nottingham Forest man, who is also interested in other top-flight clubs, including Arsenal.

The 27-year-old joined the North London club permanently from Real Betis during the summer of 2019 as part of a £55m deal but things have not gone to plan. Lo Celso has failed to establish himself as a regular at Tottenham and that has continued this season.

Ange Postecoglou was happy to keep the Argentine heading into the current campaign and the Aussie coach has used the midfielder in 16 matches, with the player only starting six times. Injuries have disrupted Lo Celso’s season but even so, the Argentina international would not have been a guaranteed starter.

According to the report, Tottenham are keen to cash in on Lo Celso this summer as his transfer fee would help fund new signings. The 27-year-old is out of contract in North London in 2025, therefore, a sale at the end of the season would be ideal for the Premier League outfit.

It is unclear where the attacking midfielder would go but there will certainly be interest as the Argentine is a talented player and is a regular for the current World Cup champions.

Barcelona were one team linked to Lo Celso coming into the January transfer window but Spurs’ price tag would have to be low for the Catalan club to be able to complete a deal due to their well-documented financial issues.
