The Gunners have already spent over £200million this summer, as the club look to go one better than last term’s second-place Premier League finish.
Kai Havertz sealed a £65million summer switch from Chelsea to kick off Arsenal’s summer business, with Jurrien Timber subsequently arriving from Ajax in a deal worth up to £38.5million.
Marquee signing Declan Rice was next through the door, sealing a club-record £105million move from West Ham. Indeed, the total fee for the England international is just shy of the British transfer record, with Chelsea paying £106.8million for Enzo Fernandez in January.
Despite the club’s substantial spending, Mikel Arteta has hinted that Arsenal could still look to sign more players this summer.
“Let’s see. There is a lot of time still in the market and expectations with some of our players, so we will have to see how things develop in the next couple of weeks,” Arteta told Sky Sports News.
