Very sad that”Fantastic”Aston Villa player has picked up injury,he can’t make it against Manchester United

Aston Villa defender Lucas Digne is at risk of missing the Manchester United clash due to a hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he may have to undergo a late fitness test if he has rejoined the group for full first-team training.

Unai Emery’s side play host to the Red Devils on 11 February, hoping to put the cup defeat against Chelsea behind them.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “This sounds like a Grade 2 or Grade 3 hamstring injury but it’s difficult to give a yes or a no about his availability because we don’t have much information on how he’s progressing.

He won’t be cleared for first-team training until he can handle all sport-specific activities and testing effectively.

If he’s back with the group and training normally ahead of the weekend’s game, then he’ll probably need a late fitness test before he can be included in the matchday squad.

Aston Villa need the right result

While Emery’s side lost at home in mid week to Chelsea, they still have a decent home record and go into this game with a very good chance of getting something out of it.

The Villans will surely want Digne back and Emery said on 6 February that he had been progressing very well but would not have been fit for the Blues game.

Aston Villa

Alex Moreno has shone in his absence and is expected to be named in the starting eleven even if Digne returns from his injury.
