Marco Rose comments on Timo Werner future amid Tottenham Hotspur chase
HITC Football understands that Tottenham are now closing in on signing RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Spurs are now favourites to get a loan deal done despite Werner being offered out to other Premier League clubs.
Crystal Palace, Fulham, Manchester United and West Ham United have all been invited to move for Werner this month.
However, Tottenham are now leading the race and appear to be nearing a deal to bring Werner back to the Premier League.
RB Leipzig left Werner out of their squad to face St Gallen on Saturday afternoon, confirming that he is in talks with another club.
Boss Marco Rose has now told Sky Germany reporter Philipp Hinze that rumours of Werner going away on loan are ‘right’.
Rose admitted that Werner wants to leave in order to play regularly and push for a place in Germany’s squad for Euro 2024.
