Tottenham Hotspur forward Bryan Gil has lifted the lid on what life is like at Spurs under Ange Postecoglou.
The Tottenham winger, speaking to Sky Sports journalist Jamie Weir (via his Xaccount), discussed Postecoglou‘s coaching and personality behind the scenes.
Gil also admitted that he has never had a coach as inspiring as Postecoglou before. Likewise, he has never played football quite like that which the Spurs boss is coaching.
Postecoglou joined Tottenham in the summer following successful spells at the likes of Celtic, Yokohama F Marinos and Australia.
He has been a revelation at N17 and in the Premier League as a whole, turning Spurs into a solid and exciting outfit that looks capable of reaching the top four.
The Tottenham players also seem to be improving under Postecoglou, and enjoying life under him overall. This is certainly the case with Gil, who sung his praises.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had a coach who’s such a good speaker or motivator before matches,” said the Spaniard. “He fills us all with so much confidence before we take to the pitch.
“He’s great tactically too. As I’ve said, I’ve never seen any other team play like us.
“I think the results have come along with that this season when we’ve been in good form and I feel a big part of that is down to Ange.”

It’s great to hear Gil sing Postecoglou’s praises. Not only is he a great coach and manager, but he’s also a really nice guy and great character.
Obviously Tottenham are far from the finished product, as we saw with the injury crisis that halted their table-topping momentum. There’s a lot of work to do.
However, when you consider how poor Spurs were last season, and how their form this season (injuries notwithstanding) has been night and day in comparison, it shows how good Postecoglou is and how they are on the right track.
