Pedro Porro has been one of Tottenham’s better players this season.
The Spaniard has been utterly brilliant this season as an attacking full-back at Spurs.
Tottenham fans are really growing to love Porro, and it’s not just Spurs fans who adore the full-back.
Indeed, FPL players are starting to really like Porro as an option in Fantasy Football, and speaking on the Fantasy 606 Podcast, Clinton Morrison has been discussing the Spaniard’s style of play and why he’s so handy in FPL.
Morrison says that Porro is a great option due to the fact he never defends and is always pushing to get goals and assists rather than fulfilling his defensive responsibilities.
Porro never defends
Morrison shared his verdict on the defender.
“I had Udogie, but I put Porro in and I put Porro in for the Forest game because I looked and he takes all the set pieces, he never defends all he tries to do is go forward and try to get goals and assists, so I think he’s there to stay to be honest,” Morrison said.
All-out-attack
Porro doesn’t necessarily defend as much as you’d expect a full-back to, but that’s what makes this Tottenham team so incredible to watch.
This Tottenham side are all about attack, and Porro is the player who embodies that more than anyone else.
He may start as a right-back on the teamsheet, but, as Morrison says, his main priority is to drive forward down that right flank as often as possible.
Porro may be a defender, but he’s one of Tottenham’s most dangerous attacking outlets these days, and we wouldn’t be surprised at all if he started chipping in with more goals and assists in the coming months as Porro starts to grow in stature and confidence within this Tottenham team.
