Unbelievable’ Tottenham player ‘appears to have changed his mind’ and could leave Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur could end up making a big sale before the window shuts.

The North Londoners have done a great job with respect to outgoings this summer. Tanguy Ndombele, Japhet Tanganga and Ryan Sessegnon were all released, while Joe Rodon and Troy Parrott were sold.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was loaned out, but that move is expected to be turned into a permanent deal at the end of the 2024/25 season.

That is good from Tottenham, but there is more. Spurs could pull off a major sale in the coming weeks that could help them in their pursuit of a new striker.

Richarlison appears to have changed his mind about leaving Tottenham

The Brazilian, hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by Michail Antonio (BBC), had a disastrous debut season under Antonio Conte at Spurs, where he scored just one Premier League goal all campaign.

The former Everton and Watford man was much better in the 2023/24 season, but injuries really troubled him. That has put a big question mark on his future.

The attacker himself has been very vocal too. Back in May, Richarlison publicly claimed he will not leave England in this summer’s transfer window.

However, TBR Football have exclusively revealed that Tottenham are expecting Richarlison to leave the club this summer amid interest from Saudi Arabia. His agent has also held talks with clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

The Times have now added that the Brazilian ‘appears to have changed his mind’ about moving abroad, thus opening the door for a move to Saudi Arabia.

Richarlison still has three years left on his contract and that puts Spurs in a strong position in potential transfer negotiations.

Richarlison’s replacement has already agreed to join Tottenham

Tottenham have been on the market for a new striker since the summer transfer window opened.

Ange Postecoglou needs some more firepower at the top end of the pitch to take his side to the next level, and a prolific goalscorer will definitely help.

Spurs have been linked with plenty of names, but if reports are to be believed, Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke is Tottenham’s top target.

The Cherries star will cost a lot of money in this window, but the big boost for Postecoglou is that Solanke has already said yes to joining Tottenham.

That should give Spurs an edge in the race to sign him this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI Prediction vs Bayern Munich (Friendly)

Tottenham Hotspur have looked pretty good this preseason, achieving a decent set of solid results. However, they did lose 2-1 to Bayern Munich a week ago, so Saturday will provide an opportunity for Ange Postecoglu and his men to find redemption for that.

In looking at the potential starting lineup, for the Harry Kane homecoming game, Cristian Romero will probably be inserted.

Other than that, we might not see too many changes. More switches are likely to come the following week, when the Premier League season kicks off and the matches start to count for real.
