Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has praised Mauricio Pochettino for playing Enzo Fernandez further forward in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against his old side.
Enzo Fernandez helped his team come back from 1-0 down to earn a point at Stamford Bridge, and Owen took to Twitter to hail his performance.
“Another point on Enzo. He’s brilliant as a 6 but he’s got so much more to his game,” the ex-England international said. “Pochettino pushing him further forward is a master stroke.”
Chelsea’s next Premier League game is a London derby against West Ham United, and Pochettino will be hoping for more of the same from his 22-year-old midfielder.
While they would have wanted all three points today, the Blues can be pleased with a draw, especially after going 1-0 down
