Title-bound Manager Backed to ‘Build Everything up at spurs

Tottenham have been linked with a host of managers since parting ways with Antonio Conte.
Yet one of the most popular names in the mix appears to be Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.

The Times were the first to report Spurs’ interest in Slot back in March and the rumours haven’t ended there.

The Independent added in April that Tottenham were using ‘back channels’ to try and find out if Slot would be keen on a move to North London.
90Min also suggested in April that Tottenham would like to speak to Slot about a move to North London.

It looks like Slot is a key target for Tottenham after a superb season with Feyenoord.

The Rotterdam club sit top of the Eredivisie table and even reached the Europa League semi-finals under Slot.

That has made the Dutchman a hero at De Kuip and a Tottenham move would break some hearts.

Former Stoke City boss Johan Boskamp – an ex-Feyenoord star in his playing days – has now had his say on Slot.

As quoted by Voetbal Primeur, Boskamp admitted that he feels Slot should stay if looking at it from a Feyenoord fans perspective.

However, Boskamp did feel that maybe Slot couldn’t improve on his season at Feyenoord and the chance to leave would be tempting.
Boskamp believes Slot can ‘build everything up’ at Tottenham and take them back to the Champions League.

The Dutchman hailed Tottenham’s stadium but has some reservations about working under Daniel Levy too.

“As a supporter, I say that Slot should stay. As an expert, I say that he can never do better, unless he wins the Champions League with Feyenoord,” said Boskamp. “For example, he can build everything up at Spurs and then go to the Champions League. They have a chairman who thinks he invented it with Daniel Levy, but they have a nice stadium and are almost the only ones who have no debt,” he added.
